Could you take her to a no kill shelter?

We could, and it's our last-ditch option if we can't find anything better, but we'd really rather not. The nearest no-kill is a two-hour drive from here. Like most such places, they're overloaded and underfunded already. And she'd be stuck in a tiny little cage, which is a lousy reward for her trusting us enough to let us bring her home.
