Oh, it made me sick to my stomach. The moment Doc Robbins started going over the guys injuries, with TMI cam showing EVERY BONE BREAKING, I just wanted to cry.

What I admire about it is that they didn't pull any punches. It's so tempting, as a writer, to conceive of something, then think that you have to pull it back, temper it, rein it in for your audience or else they won't like it.

Dustin Hoffman had the best thought on the subject, in that (paraphrasing here, of course), the goal of movies or TV or any creative outpouring should be to make you go "OH!" Now, that can be a good, "oh!" or a horrified "oh!" or whatever, but it should pick a target and GO for it, flat out.

To my mind that means that, even if it misses, at least it committed itself. And THAT'S honest. THAT'S real.

THAT'S the point.

This was tough to watch, in a good way. If CSI can pull off more episodes in a no holds barred manner, I'll be thrilled.

And true to life too "Free food, free showers, free sleep"...yup, sounds like what K-Fed is doing now anyway.

Its Season 7, go for broke writers, no fear!

(Previews for next week...uh oh....) Looks great!

As a side note..is it me..or is William Petersen really working the Grissom facial expressions? And Sara? In to trampling? Hmmm...

I think we're just able to SEE them again, because he doesn't have the beard getting in the way. That was the biggest reason I didn't like it when he grew it. He puts SO much expression into his face, especially around his mouth that you wouldn't expect. I mean, even an eyebrow raise has a lip quirk that goes with it.

Tonight was disturbing but really well done. Watching the scene with Greg was horrifying, and I had a hard time keeping my eyes on it. So far I've been really pleased with this season. They seem to be taking risks that are paying off.

That was just. Yeah. Fantastic. This season's been really *interesting*, and I'm pleased that it didn't slide into suck after the strange tinge of the season finale.

I thought it was a well done, well developed, and acted episode. It was balanced, nothing felt rushed or jolted like previous ones. There was good emotion of woe, heartache and anger.

I enjoyed EVERYONE his time around. From Sara's concern at the scene, to Greg's brave, but painful front. I *felt * Nick's anger, and it had a whole 'cast' feel, of forward momentom I didn't think it was over the top. The attack on Greg was brutal, but still in shadows.

The aftermath again, was fast forward and it all happened in a single night. Great writing and directing...I felt it was the best eppy this season.....and I'm not a 'huge' Greg fan, but I really enjoyed this one folks.
