If I were to stock up on 10mm ammo, the Glock would be so much better. Distance against an invading force is a good thing. Fortunately, it's also good against bears, home invaders, and rampaging, self-aware small cars.

I like the AK-47 myself. When you absolutely, positively, have to kill every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitutes.

If I get anything in the "assault rifle" range, I'm getting an M-14 variant first. They're durable, reliable, and easy to work on. AKs have the advantage of being a weaker round. So, yeah, if you're a pussy, go for an AR-15 or an AK. A .308 is waiting for you a few hundred yards out of your range. Also, .308 is much more common. So wanting for ammo isn't as much of an issue.
