How to Steal a Car, pete hautmann: a third of the way through this YA novel about an extemporaneous car thief, the narrator admits that she is red/green colorblind.  so you know that somewhere towards the end of this book is a stoplight mishap coming.  and it never comes - it's just a brutal macguffin.  read with The Spectacular Now.
