Today was an interesting day due to the fact that I am without a car until I fly to New Hampshire to join Abe and his family for the holidays. I now have to rely on others, the bus system and my own two legs to get around. I spent a lot of time today walking at least relatively speaking. Man, I'm feeling crappy right now. I haven't kept in touch with people from school and I've missed out on a lot of stuff. I went on facebook for the first time in a while and looked at other people's pages. I found out that a pair of friends got married this year and another is engaged to be married. Peking Acrobats
Yesterday Abe and I went to see the Peking Acrobats. It was a lot of fun to see people who were good at acrobatics. The tickets were a present from my parents for Christmas. Blood Done Sign My Name
I just finished reading the book Blood Done Sign My Name by Timothy Tyson. It's a very well written book. It made me stop and think a lot about race relations in the United States in the past century. It reminded me that my parents grew up during the civil rights movement and that they might have grown up in a very different world from the one ( Read more... ) -

I heard about this book on NPR a little while back. I only heard a little bit, but enough to know that I would probably like the book. It seems to me that if I'm interested in the show, I'm interested in the book that they're talking about (if it's about a book). NPR resonates with me. Thankful
Today has found me thinking about the things I can be thankful for. I didn`t have a lunch today because we didn`t have any leftovers and I was too lazy last night to think about making a lunch for myself. So I went hungry at work. FrogPad
This is taking some getting used to. I got a FrogPad for christmas and I just started to learn how to use it. The "e" is a bit sticky. Man, it`s like learning how to type all over again. I`m sorely tempted to revert to my regular keyboard, but I know that this could be worth learning. It`s kinda fun learning something new. Let`s see. Other ( Read more... ) -
