You know, I think I actually envy those writers who can work on multiple stories...because I don't understand how they do it. I'm working on the second part of my gift to Marcos, and while I'm writing it, something comes to my head for SWOE. I can't just pass the idea up because I'll forget, so I move over to that one for a while. Gah! I know ( Read more... )

Hee, I'm the opposite -- I don't understand how people can only work on ONE story at a time! I get so many new ideas swarming into my head all the time.... Usually, though, I do have one main story to focus on, but if I get tired of writing it after a half an hour or so, I'll switch to a different one or maybe write a drabble before switching back. I'll keep My Current Main Fic as my primary focus for about a week (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer) before -- whether I've finished it or not -- I want to focus on something else, whether it's a new idea or an old one that I'm inspired to work on again. I suck at deadlines and finishing things too, though. But for now, the method seems to work okay for me.

I hope your new doctor is nice and professional and very good at what he does. <3

Years ago, I could do it, but that's when I was really, really manic and hyper. The only downside is that I left many stories unfinished, and now so many of them no longer make sense because things have progressed further in the show/anime/manga.

I'm trying to make it work right now. I keep meaning to write things for

I personally never tried to figure out my line of thought or wonder once I try to depict something on a picture - in fact, I start with the straight basic( i.e. barely the thing/situation I need to depict )then I start to wonder aobu this or that detail a thing that leads to other and another, andn another, until those wonderings start to make sense among themselves but... the result almost all the times end up being a COMPLETELY different thing, or tasking adifferent direction than the one I was initially ought to draw for, many tmes branching to other ways, that weren´t meant to be necessary for what´s being told neither are likely to be necessary to the story itself that intermingle among them and so on... whew! I guess that, for me, to create soemthing is pretty much like "walk thru" a story, exploring recesses out of curiosity just to find myself in deeper an deeper into that...

Like Cecile said, I also hope your new doctor to be nice and professional, too!

Take care

Well, I was forced to figure out mine because my dad refused to get me medication for my illnesses. He's of the opinion that mental illnesses are fake. (Yeah, I, too, got the whole "we sweep our problems under the rug" line that Bob and Miriam gave Helga.) I had to learn my own thought processes to be able to function anywhere near normal. My "creative/crazy" side is constantly at battle with my "logical/serious" side.

Tomorrow's the day! My insurance recently got switched around (as of a day ago), so here's hoping I can still see the new doctor. I'll keep my fingers crossed in the meantime.

When I was doing FF, I used to work on several stories at once...conversely, though, I usually did not finish them. :D

I'm trying to write a story (not FF, though...it's this one I've been dreaming up called Agent) and finish it, all this summer! I officially have 2 more months to live at home before I move to Boston, so I'm figuring I can do it if I try...

I'm also going to start reading a little Faulkner, a little Vonnegut, some Dostoevsky...for inspiration, hehe. :D

Hopefully your new doctor is better! Silly doctors...I'm out to put a better (and prettier, if I do say so myself, hehe) face on medicine! Bam!

Hehe, I feel like Emeril...

You'll definitely put a better and prettier face on medicine! Yeah, here's hoping I can still see the new doctor. My damn insurance got switched around the other day. I'm starting to wish for universal health care, already, because the insurance switch game has gone on long enough for me.

I love Vonnegut. He's definitely a good inspiration. Still a shame that he passed away recently. Oh well, we can all be rest assured that Kurt is in Heaven now. Hehehe. I'll forever love him for that line at Asimov's funeral.

I'm working on something original, too, somewhat based on my childhood, and what it's like to grow up in a dysfunctional family when you have no clue that you have mental disorders. I'm pretty sure I can find an audience for it as it seems to happen to people all the time. Hopefully, it'll be finished before I turn 30? Heh.
