This is for corpus_yaoi who wanted something to compare her translations to. This is only the first section of this month's issue of the novel, but none the less here it is.

I had a fun time working on this, and depending on my work schedule this week I may or may not continue.

By "technical" English standards, there is no equivalent for the word 准佐, so your coining of the term as squadron is incorrect. Yes, it's used frequently in anime (Zeta Gundam, Hathaway's Flash, etc), but the rank itself isn't a formal military rank. On a modern day scale, it falls into the ranking system of "field officers" and thus by association it should be Sub-Major or Sub-Commander.

少佐 (shousa): Major
准佐　(junsa): Sub-Major
大尉 (taii): Captain

--NAVY--
少佐 (shousa): Lt. Commander
准佐　(junsa): Sub Commander
大尉 (taii): Lieutenant

Since you're here and I'm curious, I often here 'Taisa' as well. Is it used the same as Taii, or is there a different meaning to it? (Or does it depend on the context?)

Well, this is where it gets harder to explain. 大佐 is Colonel in the Army and Captain in the Navy. 大尉 is Captain in the Army and Lieutenant in the Navy.

I <3 Relena. My fave anime character. :p 1xR is my OTP. Almost done with the vid! Will dedicate to you. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint you. :sweatdrop: The thing was so, I dunno, simple? Not heavy on the effects and no beat basing. @_@ Eep...added some coloring effects though. xD Hopefully, she isn't dead. Since Heero remembers Duo, I wonder if he remembers Relena. Selective amnesia? O_O

No way. xD I used a combination of "Glow - White Highlights" with variations of "Color Corrector (Secondary)." You'll see why. OMG, long description will be loooong. Is it wrong that I kinda teared up while making it? xD

LOL. Speaking of the IKEA catalogue, there's still a bunch of us in my city who haven't gotten theirs. I only have one because I picked it up at the store.

Based on the last few times I've had Gundam Ace shipped to me, it takes about 3-4 weeks for it to get here. I can't afford anything faster. The magazine itself is cheap but it's also heavy, so shipping is ridiculous. I'll probably have the most recent one by the time the next one comes out. But that's okay, because I actually still haven't had a chance to read Chapter 1!

If you don't have it already... try to find a used copy of the Kenkyusha Japanese-English dictionary. That and the Internet are probably your best resources for translation.
