someone recently posted an au where mike had secretly been in the military (as a sniper, etc) prior to working at pearson hardman. no idea if it's any good - i bailed out early on because it wasn't what i wanted. i thought it was going to continue being a secret, him living this double life, but no, he told everyone right away once he was called ( Read more... )

I am absolutely on board with this.

There's a similarish fic were Mike's an assassin that wasn't too bad and I couldn't find it to link! Argh! There needs to be a Suits fic finder community. I'm too easily distracted to be a good fic searcher :D I go into AO3 to look for fic and end up reading five fics that are clearly not what I'm looking for at all.

hmmm! it occurred to me that the fic i'm craving (or one similar enough) might actually be out there already, though it feels like i should have come across it by now. there is the go to guy by closer, where mike is a PI, and that was good fun (as is EVERYTHING by closer).

i will poke around the internet until someone caves to my every whim! :D

I like that one by Closer. I like that the Mike in it is so capable. The one I was thinking of had Mike as an assassin and someone trying to kill Harvey (not Mike) and Mike kills someone in his own apartment. Can't find it though I know it was on AO3 last fall sometime. Oh well. I think it was pretty short and not particularly plotty...
