the good: i'll be on holidays in 8 days!

the bad: i have bronchitis

the ugly: if i don't rest enough to get better i could be banned from going on a plane!

which is why i've done nothing for the last 3 days...

(you know you're really not well when a doctor exclaims "you poor thing!" when you go to see him.)

there's a guy i know through sociable dog owners in my area - i knew he was in a band and 2 days ago i heard an ad on tv for the Fringe opening party concert. i heard the name of a band that i thought sounded like his. a little bit of internet research confirmed that it is his band and also that his band played at the Big Day Out in 2007 ( Read more... )

i leave in exactly 3 weeks!

• i had so much mail to post that i filled the mailbox!
• i have to stop thinking about the devastation of the Victorian bushfires for my own sanity.
• our house is *almost* completely painted! this means we can actually return furniture to its rightful place and begin the process of cleaning/sorting/culling the multitude of stuff that we own.

i have a new toy! (the red DSCW150R)

it takes lovely photos and was on sale

...and it made me feel a lot better after hitting the verandah post of the house i was housesitting over the weekend with my car :(

men are awesome, frustrating and frustratingly stupid all at the same time!

i'm housesitting for a dog-walking friend of mine. she asked me because we get along well and our dogs love playing with each other. she wanted me to bring my dog over as well to keep her dog company ( Read more... )

1. we had another free lunch and half a day off work! woo!
2. i finally finished watching season 16 of survivor. survivor love is very cute :)
3. the park was packed with dogs this afternoon so lilly had a great time playing with them and i had a great time socialising with my lovely neighbours.
4. we finally have a floor at home! yes!
