September in a Day

Sep 23, 2005 02:58

This is going to be a fairly odd and disjointed entry, but I will make it as entertaining as I can. As for my long absence, I can only credit it to school and the Czech Republic.

And as for catching up on comments, I am afraid that may never happen. That is, at least until tomorrow.

Classes have been going well. I only have two teachers who are ( Read more... )

so, like, what have you been doing with your time?

picture if you will with me in your mind's eye...rockymento rolling on the floor laughing her head off. Why? Because Koola is far away and can't beat her up with her evil eye....

I don't even know how to react, Rocky. Do I laugh or cock my eyebrow or throw a fit?
(sigh)
He who laughs last doesn't get the joke. Drat.

As she said, they were bland pancakes. Really, really good bland pancakes. You should have her make some for you. They're espically good with tuna fish.

You amaze me with the depth of your musings. (NO, I am TOTALLY serious!)
That maturity and intelect of the words, the fact that you recognize the art
when others scoff and turn back to their muddled media diversions instead of
allowing for IMAGINATION! Keep up with what you're doing, and while it can be painful at times to watch others push beauty and art aside, take comfort that many others out there share in your love and joy for the arts!

And the pancakes! Oh! Beautiful! Works of art. In fact, they look like Crepes from this angel, so I would go so far as to say, "Dah-ling! You've made french food!" I do hope you will continue in your "Culinary" art as well.

Can't wait to see you! Oh, one last thing: I picked up "The Scarlet Pimpernell" at the library. (Don't hate me, It is on DVD!) I will be seeing it for the first time. I want to see how it's played out on screen. Always interested to see how an actor portrays the charecters that have a life and face in my head. te he!

:D I hope you enjoy the movie! Is it the b+w or the Jane Seymore? They are both good.
And you better not be confused with my ramblings again. Bigotry can often look like a good thing when worded well. I don't like beign a bigot.
And why have you stopped your application?? :s

I don't see you as a Bigot, my dear. Not in the least. And it's the one with Jane Seymore, and the guy who plays "Gandolph" on lord of the rings. Man, he looks young!

I stopped the application because there is a $30 fee and I am broke
at the moment and can't afford it until. . . October 1st. So it looks
as if the soonest I might attend would be Spring? If they even accept me, that is.

Hey! I will give you the thirty dollars! You really need to just apply! And you can even pay for it on the first. Don't give up on this so easily! Please! You deserve to give this to yourself. Even if you aren't accepted - what would be worse than never knowing? And even if you are accepted, you do not have to take it up.
Thirty dollars is nothing compared to this. Follow your dreams, yes?

Dearest koola, how I loved this post! You are so . . . amazing doesn't really cover it. I have an idea for the animation class. Cock an eybrow at them and say "a closed mind is an empty mind". I use that often when confronted with those who don't want to learn. What a rare and beautiful gift to realize that sometimes learning is a destination, not just the road. Thanks for the update. It fills a hole left by the absence of your actual presence.

I will remember your advice. Thank you, Garc. I appreciate it. I wish I could get up the courage, or at least find a proper reason, to tell them what I think. I have difficulty with the whole "Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?"
I don't think I can justify it in all those areas. Who said that, by the way? Was it President Kimball? I can't remember. :s

Why would anyone rather watch the movie??? The book is almost always oh-so-much better. Don't you just love how music can express some things better than anything else? I thought that Switchfoot did a very good job.

As to the pancakes... Becca wouldn't believe me when I told her they were noodles. I think she was in denial.

Oh! The tempest rocks! We had to put a scene on from it in one of my Civ classes and I got to be Caliban and chase Miranda all around the stage. I like being creepy. I don't get to do it very often.
