I'm with the animation geeks. You did the right thing and it was not cowardice. It was intelligence. What is that scripture about it not being necessary to run faster than you are able?
"And thou shalt run until your spleen falls out your ear..." something like that. Thank you for putting that into perspective for me.
I found this scripture last night because of your comment. I think it has become on of my favorites. "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the aeverlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:28-31
Yes, I really like this one, too. I am afraid for myself that I don't fall under it's protective care anymore. I clearly says YOUTH and YOUNG MEN, of which I am neither. No, wait! I am as young as I feel. No, wait. That doesn't work either. Everything aches so I must be old. Dang
( ... )
EXCELENT choice!! You're insane and trying to kill yourself if you're taking more then 12 credit hours AND working!!! You did the right thing, and it's not cowardice. You're amazing by the way, I'm only taking 14 hours.
Should I be home more often? Is there anything I can do? Should do? I'm supposed to be like, your roommate or something... am I too slobby? Do I have weird music? Okay, I'm not going to stop listening to weird music, but anything else?
I can only echo what everyone else has said. You shouldn't feel like your life is horrible every day. I quit my job when that happened to me and it contributed greatly to my happiness. I needed the money, but it was making it so I felt like my life was horrible. I found opportunities in the summer to work a lot and get lots of money. I guess just figure out if it's right for you to let it go... it's okay to let good things go... because sometimes you get better things, you know?
Anyway... I have a separate stomach for cake and ice cream.
Arelee, everybody wants you to be around and I am one of your hundreds of fan club members. No, I don't want you to change. You listen to awesome music and you are not a slob. I didn't mean to make you feel like you are doing something wrong. I think you are awesome, and that is why I want to spend more time around you. I have been the problem, not you. I know that being around here hasn't been easy for you; with an anal roommate, people who don't understand your points of view, and worst of all - a mattress that works as a part time cheese grater. Is there something I can do to make it better for you here? I am afraid there is nothing I can do about the cheese grater, though.
Sorry for the guilt trip. I did not mean to take you there. Everything is fine - nothing is ruined.

So there.
Sorry I haven't been around. It's not you.
