Not enough hours in the day for everything that has to be done! Auctions ending on eBay, the first show of the season for Strollers coming up and I've been put in charge of all advertising and publicity, and then there's readying the house and yard for the puppy! Good thing I'm having trouble sleeping -- it gives me more time to work ( Read more... )

Waffe House, huh? I didn't realize.

I don't suppose "Waffle" would be a good puppy name...?

I love the Waffle House! My friend Biz, who we'll be seeing Saturday night, took me to my first Waffle House. It's been an obsession ever since. We actually thought a bit about Waffle or Waffles, but unfortunately, it's the name of a character in Uncle Vanya that isn't someone we'd want to think of whenever we called our puppy. Plus, there's that whole 2004 election thing with the waffling. People have sullied the good name of Waffle!

Pancake is not as sullied... although one wouldn't want to have the association with "flat as a..."

Did Martha tell you that Mattie and Ben held hands last night? They were pretending not to notice it, though.

I can't believe you're doing publicity for the show! Wow, on top of it all. I hope you're holding up ok over there!! When do you leave? (and I second it; waffle is cute)

I know. I'm running out of time. We leave Saturday morning around 6 am. Some time Friday evening, I'll head over with cat instructions, etc. I'm not sure how I'm going to get the publicity stuff done, but it will work. I just responded to J's comment about Waffle. It is cute, but has a couple of unfortunate associations. I actually preferred Pancake -- it was the front runner for quite some time. Three days to puppy!
