Butter has learned how to clear the fence into the side garden. She's done it a couple of times now, but today was the first time I caught her in the act. The photo is a freeze-frame from the movie I took of her coming back out of the garden.

Butter took her first trip to the dog park this weekend, accompanied by Zoe and neighbor J. Though it took her a while to figure out how to get inside, she quickly took to it, and proceeded to run in ever-widening circles for about 30 minutes straight. Return trips are guaranteed.

Two and a half days in New York City -- the happiest I've been in months.
And I lived up to my prediction -- 24 hours after my last LJ post, I was, indeed, on top of the Empire State Building. I felt like I was home.

New York City, here I come! I've given the puppy instructions not to grow while I'm gone. I'm not sure she understood. I will miss that little poodle so much! And, of course, I'll miss T and the kitties. I'm thrilled -- it turns out that Butter loves to wear a costume! She was a ladybug for Halloween, and wore her costume for a short walk through the neighborhood, through the first ten minutes of puppy agility class (I took it off so she wouldn't get too hot), and again for a party after class. Walked Butter from the corner of Sherman and N. Sherman past Tenney Locks and back today. A wonderful day and very breezy, which always seems to fill Butter with extra joy (I'm sure it's all the smells wafting through the air).
