This last week has been crazy. A few weeks ago, L had her pre-quarter meetings and orientations with the new kids and the professors. Her department chair had mentioned at that time that she and a neighbor had recently rescued a litter of feral kittens and that if any of the grad students want to adopt one, she would cover start-up expenses like

I wanted to name our pup Kaylee (or Inara) but my husband wouldn't go for it. Not that the name we ended up with (Zelda) is any less geeky. :)
