I was sure that I had gained weight in Brazil. How could I not have, considering how much I was forced into eating? I certainly getting more exercise than usual, either... Today I met someone who's half-brother is also her cousin. Try wrapping your head around that one. (Her mother slept with this guy at age 14 and had her, and then this guy married her mother's sister, and they had a child a couple years ago.) Small town, whut.

I went here today and got to see lots of exotic birds and what it's like to raise them. It's here in town, and the guy who runs it is super nice (in his 30s! super young!), and he showed us around. Pictures of the birds can be seen here, but it doesn't really give the whole experience; the birds were so loud (and friendly ( Read more... ) -

Young raccoons on the roof last night - on the porch overhang that's right outside our bedroom window. They were babies (all three of them!), and they were tussling and running and putting their tiny handsies on the window trying to come in. So adorable.
