1. The friends page brings quite a few messages from Russian friends that they cannot post anything to their journals.
2. lj_maintenance  apologizes for the user troubles raising from the previously mentioned DDOS attacks impacting site performance.

The question to answer: Where those attacks are coming from?

From people trying to retaliate for the deletion of "incest-promoting" users and groups, I guess.

Oh, that's an ongoing HUGE scandal, so you might be right. On the other hand, the previously mentioned DDOS attacks impacting site performance were against ru_nbp community...

Well, they offended thousands of people and it takes only one to launch a DDoS, so that's a possibility. I mean, if the ru_nbp problem were not back again...

A problem for whom? Anyway, I do not know. I've only noticed that it becomes a taboo in LJ every time they speak about DDoS attacks..

that's interesting, I couldn't even open that community! There was no 404 error, though, which appears if you try to open a nonexistent community.
