Hijacking your LJ to say that I've found a ticket to Madrid (for a week long stay with a tourist pass for 5-days and unlimited rides on trains and buses) to be only $100 more than if went to DC and stayed for three days.

Well the time frame was directly after you got back to Spain, probably January 10th thru the 17th. Dunno if that would work for you since I have NO clue what the Spanish university schedule looks like.

Well my exams start by february, but by the looks of it, they won´t be too difficult. What we we could do is, that I went to university in the mornings while you either stayed home or took a look around the city, and skip my evening activities or take you with me (I bet you´d enjoy me babbling in my poor Japanese). I have no class on fridays anyways ^^ So let´s hope I haven´t got too much uniwork (like essays and stuff) around that time :"D
