Warning for crack and weirdness!
Previous Chapter.
There are two things he is confused about as his mind isn't totally clear from sleep yet. The first is the weight on his body, making him numb and incapable of moving. Secondly there is something cold on his throat. As his brain wakes up a little more each passing second Ryo reaches up to automatically touch the unpleasant-feeling spot on his neck, before quickly jolting up as he realizes it's sticky. His movement cause the heavy but warm body that was until now half lying on him to stir from his slumber.
It takes a few seconds before Ryo remembers why Ohkura is in his bed, and yet another second to realize that the cold sticky wetness that had him scared is a pool that his friend kindly must have left on him in his sleep. In other words, the drummer had slept on Ryo's neck leaving a track of drool behind, and a very stiff neck additional to it. “Eeew!”
With a wrinkled nose and a wry face he does his best to wipe away the sticky mess, this was most certainly an unusual way to face a new day. Strangely enough he felt more rested than he had for a long time, and even though his neck was a little strained and the spit was a little disgusting it really hadn't been all that bad, and now with the other man trying to pry his way into Ryo's lap all thoughts of complaints flew out the window.
Ohkura was already fully awake and was once again all over Ryo, doing his very best to get as close to his 'master' as possible. For Ryo however this behavior from his friend felt more than inappropriate, especially as he finds himself quite enjoy the younger man being so close.
So he pushes the other away and gets up from bed, breathing heavily for more than one reason. This whole thing was getting dangerous and this was only the beginning of the second day. How would he handle this if the drummer kept acting like a dog? What if Ohkura never would return to his usual self again? This thought scares him more than anything else. Ryo needs to find a way to solve this, but where does one start in a situation like this?
A billion different thoughts passes through Ryo's head as he dress himself and goes to start making breakfast, of course with Ohkura following close behind.
Today was workday with Kanjani and he wasn't sure what to tell the others. They knew Ryo had been to Ohkura's apartment, so what should he tell them... The truth? No, something in him was against the members getting to know of the situation, at least until he had tried to solve it himself first. He was sure that their drummer would feel the same, wanting to keep this whole mess unknown to his friends and colleagues to spare him the embarrassment. Only he could know, he decided that protecting his friend was the right thing to do, at least for now. If he could find no solution the others would eventually have to know anyway.
He sits down with his food as he tries to think of a good lie to convince the others that Ohkura is okay, but not available. Focused on his own thoughts Ryo gets a little startled as something wet caresses his hand and he lifts it away from where he had been resting it on his thigh. Not very surprising it's the younger man trying to reclaim Ryo's attention. By licking on him. “What? I already gave you a ton of food.”
The man on the floor just keep looking at him, with some strange expression that he isn't sure how to interpret. He pats the brown softness on Ohkura's head and hopes that the petting will satisfy him, but the only thing that happens is that the other starts to wail. A soft and low whine that goes straight through him, unfortunately he still has no clue what the man wants.
“I'm sorry, I have no idea what you want me to do.” Ryo keeps stroking the other's hair for a while until he catches a glimpse of his watch, realizing that he will be late if he doesn't pick up his pace. He gets up and heads for the shower, Ohkura looking quite exited and happy as he stands. “No, stay here.”
He has to sneak in fast into his bathroom to prevent the other from coming in with him, and he's given one of the saddest looks he has ever seen as he peeks out through a small slit between the door and the wall. “I'm sorry, but you really can't come this time. I won't take long.”
It's almost hard to close the door leaving the other behind, but he has no other choice and when he can hear the pleading sounds from the other side of the wall all he can do is turn on the water, so that Ohkura's sounds are deafened by that of the shower.
When he is done and turns of the water again, it's quiet outside. Ryo wraps a towel around his waste and steps into the living room. There is no sight of Ohkura, and he's sure that the younger must have heard him come out by now, so where is he? For a second he panics at the thought that the other man is gone, but then he sees him standing on all four with his head hanging low just by the front door.
“Thank God, I though you might have ru-” He stops in the middle as he walks towards Ohkura who barely dares look at him as he sees a wet stain on the mat beside him. When he looks at the drummer he can see a matching stain on his trousers. “Oh no.”
Ryo walks forward to sit beside the other who hunches even lower, clearly ashamed of himself. “I'm so sorry, this is my fault.”
The daily needs was something that hadn't even crossed Ryo's mind, the thought that Ohkura couldn't do even the most basic things by himself had simply not occurred to him, but now as he hugs the taller man close he can't help but to feel responsible. For a while he just sits there, to reassure Ohkura that it's okay, then he leaves to get a rag.
When he has finished the cleaning of the floor and has tossed the mat into his washing machine he turns to the other man with a reassuring smile. “We need to get you clean too.”
Ryo returns to his bathroom that still is damp from his own shower earlier, and this time he lets his friend accompany him. Making sure the door is closed behind them he turns to the smiling man on the floor. His heart skips a beat as he walks closer. “We need to get you out of those clothes.”
It's quite easy to undress Ohkura (at least it's a hell of a lot easier than dressing him) even though Ryo can't help himself from blushing as he pulls off the underwear to leave the younger man completely naked in front of him. No, that part is not that difficult at all. The hard part is to actually get the taller man inside the shower.
He has to literally push Ohkura to get him inside and the only way to get this done, he realizes, is for him to join the unwilling in the small space. A gulp and a conviction that this is the only way and he steps into the shower, feeling rather uncomfortable with both of them naked in such a narrow place. Especially since Ohkura is bumping into him as he tries to wiggle his way out of the small cabin.
As soon as the water is turned on hell breaks loose and Ryo has to grab Ohkura around his stomach to keep him from fleeing. He struggles to keep the younger man as still as possible as he lets the water run down his lean body, the sight and feeling of it all is overwhelming and if it wasn't for the struggling from Ohkura's part this whole thing would- No, Ryo has to stop his chain of thoughts, this is Ohkura, his best friend, he needs to remind himself.
Returning to his task of washing the other man's body, doing his best not to look, he picks up a sponge that he runs over Ohkura's body and suddenly the resistance stops and the other man leans into his touches instead. It happens so abruptly that it surprises him at first, but in comparison to a few seconds ago this is quite the relief and he can clean the other easier as Ohkura now seems to enjoy the treatment. He's also grateful for the reason that this will make the whole procedure quicker, and the faster this is over the faster Ryo can pretend that he isn't affected by the whole ordeal.
He'll definitely be late to work now, but he suppose there's no helping it. Ohkura had needed him, and helping his friends was more important.

It takes a second or two before he realizes that Yassu is speaking to him. They are about to begin recording for their new single today, and of course Ohkura still is nowhere to be seen, Ryo had after all left him safely locked inside his apartment just a little over an hour ago. He recollects himself and give his attention to his group mate who is in the middle of a sentence that Ryo hasn't heard a word of.. “Oh, sorry what did you say?”
“How's Tatsu? Weren't you at his place yesterday?” The eyes directed at him is almost penetrating and Ryo knows that he has to say something, but instead of actually coming up with a good excuse to this whole mess, like he had intended, his mind had wandered off to think back to earlier that morning. When he had been drying a clean Ohkura off while said man was comfortably sighing in his lap. Just the image of Ohkura gave him a hard time concentrating on the present. He shakes his head and forces the images away as he blurts out an answer.
“Ehm, yeah... He's sick.” Really, sick? Is that the best he can do? Ryo feels stupid as soon as the sentence has rolled off his tongue and he would have smacked himself if that wouldn't have been a dead give-away. Now he will definitely be further questioned, he needs to get a grip and that fast. Come on brain, WORK! “... He'll probably be back in a few days, he just needs to rest.”
“Eh? Is it serious? I should-” This is bad, Yassu is getting even more worried, of course that is what would happen, the man is practically famous for being so caring.
“No, he said he didn't want any other visitors. I'll take care of him, no need to worry Yassu.” The damage was already done, now he has to do the most out of his own unconsidered statement.
Sickness. He could probably make it work for a few days. As long as it didn't drag on he could most likely keep the secret of Ohkura's real whereabouts.
“But...” It is easy for him to see that the shorter man doesn't like the idea of leaving a sick member behind, but it was important to not let them know and Ryo knows that if he can convince Yassu, the rest will follow too.
“Really Yassu, he's pretty much okay, but he doesn't want anyone to worry. He only let me come since I've already seen him. I promise you I'll take good care of him.” Ryo smiles and hopes that he has gotten the other to give up and consent with that it is good enough that Ryo will nurse his sick friend. And miraculously enough he does, even if it is a little unwillingly. “Mm, okay Ryo-chan... Just make sure he eats and sleeps properly. And that he takes his medicine.”
“Don't worry Yassan. Ryo can be really tender if he wants to. I'm sure Tacchon will be fine in no time.” Subaru puts his arm around Yassu and nods encouragingly to Ryo, who is extremely grateful to their group's lead-singer for sealing the deal even tough he's not aware of it. At least for now, Ohkura and Ryo's secret is safe.

They finish early and so Ryo decides to take the extra given free time to revisit Ohkura's apartment. He might find some kind of clue to what caused the current situation, and also this morning had made it quite clear that he would need a few more clean sets of clothes for his friend. Just to be safe.
Unfortunately things don't go as easy as Ryo has hoped for. Because when he walks up to the drummer's apartment there is already someone there, knocking on the door. Damn it, he thought Yassu had given up and agreed that Ryo could handle a sick Ohkura without help. Apparently this was wrong of him to think, because now here the guitarist was standing by Ohkura's door waiting for a reply that Ryo knew would never come.
“Yassu? What are you doing here.” Ryo walks straight up to the other and never lets his eyes stray from the shorter man.
Yassu had flinched at his sudden call, and maybe, just maybe his voice had been a little angrier than he had meant it to be, but it was really Yassu's own fault. He had agreed to leave everything to him, so he shouldn't be here in the first place. “Ah, Ryo-chan. I'm sorry. I know I said I wouldn't bother him, but I was just so worried...”
“...I've been knocking for several minutes and there's still no answer, what if he's collapsed or something!?!” Ryo sighs, it's not like he can be angry at the other man for being thoughtful and worried, but the fact remains that the apartment is empty and Yassu can't find out why. He really wanted to avoid lying anymore, but this time it is necessary. Ryo is just really grateful that he's the only one with a key.
“It's okay, I was just here... He's sleeping. No need to worry, but we shouldn't disturb him. He needs to rest to get better, right?” The shorter man just blinks at him clearly confused and lets the hand he had been resting on the door handle slowly return to it's place along his side.
“But didn't you just come here?” Obviously he would ask that, but Ryo is a good improvisor and actor.
“Mm, I thought I might have forgotten to lock the door after me, so I came back to check. But apparently I didn't so I guess it's okay.” He smiles and hope that the lie will pass unnoticed.
For a moment they both stand there, Yassu processing what he had just been told and Ryo hoping that it would work, feeling very relieved when it finally does. “O-okay...”
Yes! He is fucking brilliant at lying! Not that that is such a great thing, but at least he got Yassu to leave without having to expose himself. Ryo give his friend a ride home, just to be safe, and as he watches Yassu walk away he prays that it won't show up any more difficulties.
Then he turn his car around and drive the way straight back again. He still needs to get home in time to make food and help Ohkura with eventual needs, and his business at that apartment has to be taken care of first.
He is there in a flash. Swiftly he unlocks the empty home and sneaks inside and he meet with the same messy room, exactly as he had left it the day before. Only this time he isn't attacked the second his foot peeks over the threshold.
A quick look around and then he begin with his work. Searching for anything that might tell him why Ohkura wasn't acting like... well Ohkura.
* * *
The search had proved in vain and Ryo who had been so sure to find some kind of answer feels incredibly disappointed and irresolute as he lies sprawled out on his own bed. For how long would this continue on? When he had come home their youngest member had still very much acted like a dog. Even now while Ohkura was asleep Ryo could feel the bed stir from time to time as the taller man moved his legs or arms, giving a little sound. Ryo guesses he's dreaming that he's hunting something, maybe a rabbit. Or if it was still some Ohkura left in him, maybe he was chasing after curry-rice.
The clock shows over midnight and Ryo finds himself feeling envious of the already sleeping Ohkura. But it's practically impossible to close his eyes, and Ryo doesn't know for how long he just lies there on his side, watching the other in his peaceful sleep, occasionally disturbed by a quiet bark and some shifting.
It was quite mesmerizing Ryo thought, and as long as the other kept quiet it could just as well been Tadayoshi's normal self lying there by his side. If only that would have been true.
Carefully he reaches out to stroke away a strand of hair that tickles Ohkura's closed eyelids, making them flutter. When his fingers barely touches the warm skin Ohkura suddenly lets out a louder bark, scaring the hell out of Ryo who almost falls out of the bed.
His pulse is banging violently in his veins and he breathes heavily. The suddenness of the action pulls him out of the trance-like state he had been in.
What was he thinking... He had long ago left those kind of thoughts behind, knowing there is no future in that kind of dream. It was dangerous to be this close to Ohkura, even considering the circumstances, but even so he didn't want the other man to go away.
He would just have to be more aware of himself. As long as he can keep his mind from wandering he had nothing to worry about.
The only problem is, he's not sure he can actually keep his brain under control. It sure seems more difficult lately.
Ryo turns his back to the other man on the bed and closes his eyes, doing his very best to ignore the quiet sounds and the entrancing warmth that emits from Ohkura as he slowly manages to drift off to sleep.
It's been a while since my last update, even tough I said it wouldn't take long, there are two resons. One: The weather has been amazing, so I've been outside and barely touched my computer for about a week. Secondly: I decided to rewrite a big part of this chapter (almost half) and save the stuff I had originally written for later. Anyway, how did you like part two in this story? I hope it still works. ^__^ Thanks for reading and feel free to comment!
Also, I just have to say... I'm so sad for Yoko's sake. :( I hope he'll get through this. <3 We all love and support you Yoko.
