A month too late to be a Christmas present, Ken finally was able to get his Wii last Sunday. He took Monday and Tuesday off to play with it (plus he had to use the rolled-over vacation time from last year, or he would have lost it entirely). omg I kind of finished something?
It's very short, but it's got a beginning, middle, and end. Well, sort of, I'm working on it. But the end is there. It feels really good to have something tangible that I can hold in my hands. Plus, it's one of the few things that I've written that I don't think is complete crap, just partly crap. Needs a lot of polishing, lots more description, ( Read more... ) -

Bed hopping
Last night, we laid down to read at around 11:00. Not five minutes after that the music started again, but this time we were treated to country instead of jam. After 15 minutes of loud music, I got my pillows and left for the guest room again ( Read more... ) -
Upstairs Neighbor Extravaganza
Last night, we were actually driven out of our bedroom (!) by the incredible amount of noise that the upstairs neighbors were making. We're pretty sure that it's a group of at least 117 teenagers, based on the volume of noise output they make. In any case, it's at least 4, and they all look like dirty hippie college students. Write more.
Or, more specifically, write more and actually finish something. I don't care what it is. Fiction, nonfiction, short story, comedy. I don't care what it is, I want to finish something.

T minus two days
It is now two days into my vacation. Yesterday we went to Total Wine and spent almost $100 (which is very, very easy to do in Total Wine if you like booze/beer), and ran into Ken's friend Scott which was too funny because Ken had been trying to call him at work and didn't know that he had the day off too.
