i am soooo happy!  it's been a number of years since i was able to find whole mild banana peppers in the store, but the other day i went to cash and carry and there, sitting lazily on the shelf, was a huge jar of them!  granted, i will not be able to use the whole container no matter how long they stay edible, but in a burst of unrestrained delight ( Read more... )

what i've ended up having to use is mild pepperoncini rings, all chopped up. i sort of made up the recipe (and it's so good, i eat way more than my system wants me to) so everything is pretty much do-what-your-taste-buds-tell-you as far as quantities and ingredients. feel free to add and subtract to your heart's content!
