It's official, I am a freebie whore. I spend way too much of my online time searching the internet for ways to make a quick buck. Now, on to the sweater...
After some math and a bunch od advice from The Letter L, I have now started my sweater. I must admit to a few false starts, but I have completed the upper left front panel and have started the right one. I'm a bit sad as I knit though because I worry that the bulky-ness of this baby is going to make me look like a nasty round and fuzzy plum. I ( Read more... ) -
Knitting Woes...
So I started knitting "Grace" last night and after being a good girl and making my swatch, I discovered that I cannot seem to get gauge if my life depended on it. As a result, I am getting an extra inch in width for every 4 inches I knit. My sister thought this was fine because I could just knit the smallest size and hope for the best... This weekend ending up being pretty nice. With the cancelation of other plans, The Letter L and I ended up going for brunch together on Sunday. I've been dying to do that for so long, and though my arteries still hurt from my "Irish Fry" meal...it was really fun. Last night marks the completion of sock number two. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the shape, but I will admit that there are quite a few mistakes. SUCESS IS MINE!!!
Sock number one is complete! I even put in on last night and it fits. I think I should have made it a bit bigger because my feet are kinda fat and it stretches the yarn a bit, causing those gap/holes things, but overall I am quite pleased. I don't think I got the whole grafting thing down, but I can always try again on the next sock. PS - ( Read more... ) -
