Boys and girls learn differently. of course, it's not ALL boys and ALL girls, but study after study has shown that single-sex education is much more effective for girls than co-ed education. Single-sex education for boys shows little difference from the co-ed education.

One of the top schools in the San Fransico area is a co-ed school with some single-sex classes.

Of course, with all changes to public schools, there should always be a choice for parents and students. Not all children thrive in art-based schools, or running start programs, which is why students and children have the choice of programs.
