I fill out a time sheet and expect to get two weeks pay on payday, and then when I open my check it's for only one week. I saw Bob sign my pay sheet on Tuesday. What he did with it after that, I don't know. Either he lost it, or payroll lost it. Either is very likely. Either way I am out $350 - AND I NEED IT. LIKE, REALLY NEED IT.

I felt it was so hot I needed to post twice to get my point accross. (Not really, I'm just a helmet kid and the heat is affecting my brain.)

Friday the A/C wasn't working properly here at work. Today I walk in at 7:15 figuring that it'll probably be warm again. Right. No. I think sauna is the more accurate term. It's so hot my head is sweating. It's disgusting. I wasn't this hot yesterday up at Wells Beach after laying in the sun. Ugh. I want to go home early. I can't ( Read more... )

Last night I went into Boston to see Henry V put on by the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. Last year I saw their free performance of Twelfth Night not once, but twice, and thoroughly enjoyed the show (maybe not so much the surrounding company in some cases) each time. I just got my paycheck.
The gross amount pleased me greatly. (Especially since I have to pay $1,000 to UNH by August 1.)

Then I saw the net amount - for $178.69 less.

That just sucks. Bah.
