Awww... this is so touching Krista. Your Yia-yia sounded like she was a wonderful woman before she got sick. She is probably still pretty awesome but it's hard when you know a loved one isn't doing well. And sometimes they don't remember you or don't know you are there.

Yes, you're absolutely right. It was so hard to remember when she was well, but then when we knew she was dying, all of the memories came back to me. They thought she would die yesterday but she is holding on for something, so perhaps today. :(
