music... and the pope.

Apr 02, 2005 03:30

Yo peeps! I'm looking to augment my mp3 collection so throw me some ideas for songs. I like classic rock and some pop/emo and anything else thats happy, fun or has a good beat!

Please comment with some suggestions.

P.S. The pope is:
A: alive or B: not alive

oh dear! i would love to throw some pop/emo songs at you!! :D

okay.. here we go.
saves the day. both very pop and emo. no screaming.
brand new. i think you would like stuff from their "your favourite weapon" album better.
taking back sunday. amazing all around. a little screaming.
the get up kids. fantastic.
hot rod circuit! my favorite song is either "the pharmacist" or "radiation suit"
jimmy eat world is somewhat emo, their old stuff moreso.
the postal service. not really emo, but amazing nonetheless.
coheed and cambria. you won't like a lot of their stuff but check out "the devil in jersey city."
dashboard confessional. <3 goes without saying.
the format!! also so good.
fall out boy. i recommend "grand theft autumn."
the ataris. an old favorite of mine.

okay that's it for me.

I second most if not all of the above including the fact that the pope is now dead.
I shall add the likes of Reel Big Fish (unless you are one of the people who dislikes them because i can't remember who those people are at the moment)
as well as Jupiter Sunrise...but i think that was seen as coming.
I would also personally add alkaline trio and common rider...but im not sure how much you'd dig them.
But thats me.
