Took some friends out on a harbour cruise last night. Weirdly, it was the harshest conditions coming back that the little pink boat had ever been in. And it wasn't even a really bad day. Regatta over for another year. Today was a good day, activity-wise, and personal growth-wise. KW. Tomorrow I am taking my first full day off in 2 weeks. So looking forward to it.

Tomorrow I will be spending the day on the water as the committee boat for the Regatta for the Cure. I really hope the weather is warm,  and sunny. I expect it to be quite a full, busy day, and to come back exhausted but happy. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to raise as many funds for the cause this year as I did last year. The Marblehead race and events are basically over at the yacht squadron now. Very tired, but super successful week. So much boat time for me lately, it has been pure heaven. The weather has been sucking but this is the greatest summer, for me personally. Yippee!

Launched my boat yesterday. Yay! Have lots of cleanup to do, but she's in the water finally. Today I went for the first sail of the year in a Catamaran boat! Awesome!

You know the Oscars are really boring when the most clear things you remember are the women's dresses. I do need to go see a few films now though. Especially the two I am kicking my self for not seeing before this: The King's Speech, and The Social Network. Now I also want to see Inception, Black Swan, and True Grit. Movie night anyone?

Went to the Valentine's Day dance at the Armdale Yacht Club last night. Had fun hanging out with Jim, Anna, Kathleen, and their friend Rob. Felt really good about the evening, and loved the fact that I had finally found an opportunity to wear my pink cocktail dress. I just Googled "Pink Boat Nova Scotia" and found an awesome picture of my boat coming up as the first photo. I  checked it out, and ironically, it was a blog post on LiveJournal. I contacted the poster and told them I love the photo.
