I took today off of work so that I could be at the first episode filming of The Biggest Loser Season 10, in Boston. I was planning to go to this, no matter what, but I'm so glad my mom came with me so I didn't have to go alone. The entire day was amazing, and I'm so glad I went

I don't watch that show but my co-workers are hooked! that's so cool that you got to participate! did they mention how the contestants are chosen? Cuz if it's the ones who did well at the workout, that'd be kinda silly, right? you'd think they'd want to take the ones that need the most help, not who can handle a hard workout on the first day

but again, i dont watch that show, so maybe i just dont know :) kudos to both of you for trying out! i'm looking forward to the day when my mom can do a regular workout or even walk for more than 10 minutes without having to stop for a break

Actually, the 3 potential contestants were already chosen before the filming. The casting process involves open casting calls (there was one in Boston in March) or sending in videos, and then they cast the contestants from there. So everyone going to the filming knew that they wouldn't be on this season, but the casting staff were there and did collect information for possible future casting, or for another weight loss show they may be casting for
