WE SAW MONKEYS!!! 5 OF THEM!!! 1 WAS A BABY!!! And my camera´s AMAZING and I got fabulous pictures.

The Tarzan swing and Superman zipline were amazing. I love Costa Rica. I want to move here. But now I´m filthy, so I´m going to shower. Hopefully I can get some laundry done before I go to Antigua on Saturday.

Joanna and I just checked out of our hostel, but I´m still using their free internet since we have about 2 hours to kill before our shuttle leaves for Monteverde. (Also, nothing is open on Sundays.) Well, I got to San Jose OK. I owe the guy who checked me in because he put me in one of the very few seats in Economy that has any kind of legroom for both flights. It was pretty fantastic. I woke up this morning with a headache and sore throat, and decided to go to Urgent Care in case it's strep or something since I'm leaving for San Jose tomorrow. At some point, en route from my house to Urgent Care, I got all achy. Then they took blood and I almost passed out. I have either strep or mono. My new camera came and it's REALLY fun. I took it downtown on Tuesday evening and took some pictures of the Capitol building, and brought it to Jenn and Pat's today and took some of the O'Malleys. Well, my stuff is moved out of my house in Denver for the summer and I'm home in MD for the week. It's great to see my family and friends - I definitely do miss them when I'm in Colorado. I saw my grandparents and Sue yesterday, and today I saw Matt, Andrea, Levi and Jennifer. I took public transportation to Silver Sprung, which was annoying. ( Read more... )

Looks like the Guatemalan airport opened yesterday (I think), so flights can get in and out. My dad's freaking out a little and asked what GVI's contingency plan is to get me out safely in the event of another disaster.
