In Tokyo!
I am finally in Tokyo. The 14-hour flight was long but not as terrible as I was expecting - many thanks to Matt for insisting I upgrade to Economy Plus. I had a difficult time even with the extra 5 inches of legroom, so regular Economy would be unbearable. Here's hoping there are Economy Plus seats available on my return trip. Devin from Target, you're on my shit list
I'm going to Japan tomorrow and I've been kind of packing all day. ("All day" = on and off since about 6pm.) So I went to Target to get a couple things I realized I didn't have and brought all my crap up to the register. Laptop in Japan?
In 1 week from right now, I'll be in Japan! Actually, I'll still be on the plane, but I'll be on my way. So, here's my question - should I bring my laptop to Japan with me? On the one hand I don't know that I really want to worry about it, but on the other, Japan is essentially a crime-free country. It'd be nice to be able to load my pics on ( Read more... ) -
It's all coming together
I have finally stopped procrastinating and found places to stay in Japan! My rail pass will probably be here by Friday, and I checked the cherry blossom forecast and they're supposed to be at their peak while I'm there!!!! Too many
Today I went to my 4th funeral in 13 months. Yes, 4th. Last January my great-grandma died, July was my uncle, 3 weeks ago was my grandma, and today was this guy Timmy. ZUMBA!
I went to a Zumba class at the gym tonight and it rocked. It's a cardio workout based on various Latin American dances, very high-energy, and I worked harder at that than at the spinning class last night. Even though I do have ample hips, I kind of feel awkward because I can't figure out how to move them like the instructor. Maybe I'm thinking ( Read more... )
