Moriarty is real
I just saw a "Moriarty is Real" poster on the door of my building when I came into work today :)
(I am also very tempted to put up a "Sherlock Holmes is a fraud" or "Richard Brook is Innocent" posters in response just to see if there is a response.) -

And this is the part that gets me, because I completely agree. And, as a Canadian, I didn't even get an opportunity to vote for these people that have decided to include all North American IPs as domestic addresses. When I am enraged about Canadian copyright law, at least I got to protest by voting for someone else. -
So hungry
Got in early to run two back to back labs this morning, which went through lunch. Decided to stop by and talk with my supervisor about something before eating. I just got out of his office (5:15ish) and still haven't eaten. Or submitted the paper we were trying to finish. We finished the rebuttals, but it is just a fraction too long. State of the Nano
I have gone from 2000 words to 9500 words today. Go me! It looks like all that crashing really early the past few days paid off with me being awake and coherant. -
Interview
I applied for a job on a whim at the Intellectual Property Office many, many moons ago. Wrote an exam. Figured I did terribly, since I wasn't sure if I understood the directions and hadn't heard from them since. Started off the morning very frustrated. I've spent the past week exporting videos and making slides for work. My supervisor is giving a presentation in Calgary tomorrow about our research group's work in an attempt to convince people that they want to give us money.
