Well Krystal,

I don't vote, and i don't take interest in politics...but after seeing this, i've never wanted to vote so much in my life, as i do now.

I have never herd of someone running for President, being 'Anti-war'. Probably the one thing i'll agree on with anyone.

Thanks.

He's got some views I agree with, but if you look at his policies a lot are just "pass the buck". Send everything state side. His record as a rep is admirable, voted against the Patriot Act, against domestic wiretapping, ending the idiotic trade restrictions with Cuba, etc that's good. He appeals to a lot of the libertarian views I secretly hold in a deep dark corner. The reason he has a big internet following is he supports net neutrality, which I agree, is a great thing. But other than the small number of us that are plugged in 24/7 and know about the implications involved, its not a big deal to the nation as a whole....yet ( ... )

At the base of everything though is that our country's incredible "democracy" that we feel the need to tell everybody about all the time is broken. We have 2 parties that have a stranglehold on the elections. It forces the populace to define themselves by those 2 parties alone. It forces the people to pick 2 or 3 key issues and elect based on that, rather than find a canidate that truly represents their point of view.

That's why he's running as a republican. He doesn't have a choice. He's said that he won't run as a libertarian if he doesn't get the republican nomination, but I think he would.

As for everything else, I've had too many after work drinks to argue my points right now. Still, I'll disown you if you vote for Hilary Clinton.
