Topeka-fic~
I keep feeling like I need to explain things, AHEM. Early in my fic-writing career I decided what Tin Man fandom REALLY needed was a fake TV show cop-drama AU in Topeka. Then I went and made a fake TV Tropes entry on my vanity fic-verse journal. Hilariously no one discouraged any of this. It would basically be Glitch/Cain/angst, Raw/DG/adorkability

I adore how you make Cain a romantic without becoming a girly-man. And Ambrose is a little more Glitch like (side effects of the brain damage, I suspect).

*Ahem* Okay, now to sound like a rational human being. Your abilities haven't degraded at all. So it sounds like the Resistance Monster/Inner Critic/Perfect Girl has moved into your psyche. I know when I get anxious about original fiction and that thing starts making me want to curl up and die, my muse comes running in with fanfic ideas to get the pen to paper again. Except, bless her heart for trying, it's just an avoidance tactic in the end.
Heather Sellars has some good exercises for getting past this stuff in her books Page After Page and Chapter After Chapter. I give them both a two thumbs up review. I, for my part, will try to keep my squeeing fangirl duck-taped while you work through it. :)
