Sunrise
I have never seen such a beautiful sunrise as I'm seeing now out my window at work. Makes it worth coming in early. The sky is all pink and orange, and the clouds are a lovely blue-grey. I don't have enough words to describe it.

In DC
Having a great time with 8 female grad students and a professor. Met all sorts of exciting policy people. Hanging out in the Senate and House office buildings, Supreme Court, and more. Met Obama. (Just kidding, but we did go looking for him.)
Lots to tell when I get home. -
Checking in
M ran into a friend on Saturday in the grocery store. She asked if we were going to her partner's birthday party that evening. Whoops, totally forgot about that. We consequently scrambled, and made it to the party, with no one the wiser. I *really* need to pay more attention to my social calendar! (What? Huh? I have a life??)

I'm so tired, and it's only the 4th day of the program. I have an unbelievable amount of work to do in the office, but I am stuck escorting the group around, and I can't remember my stupid password to access my computer remotely so I can work in the evenings. *grumble ( Read more... ) -

Soapbox update
On Monday, June 5th, President Bush will stand in the White House's Rose Garden and urge the Senate to vote for the discriminatory Federal Marriage Amendment.
And people wonder why I was so upset when the West Wing ended...
