Happy Thursday!
Great meetings yesterday, the whole afternoon was spent at a congress at the Convention Center, talking to loads of scientists about the project and how to make something very international and exciting.
Our final meeting was again near the port, so we walked through the city.

I hope you enjoy Cinque Terre. Please report back, as mentioned; I want to know if it's as breathtaking as it promises to be. I'm planning on only spending 2 days there, too, so I'm very curious to see what you think. Have a wonderful weekend!

What a tour, right into nighttime.
I loved it...those narrow streets, high old buildings, the little details of elaborate painting and tile and scrollwork on the buildings...even statues in the stores! How art permeates this place!
(And how pedestrian and utilitarian and uninspired our American architecture.)
How you must be enjoying this beautiful place. Thank you.

The family runs the fis store (their dinner smelled fabulous) and lives in that room below and above the shop. They were totally relaxed about hanging out in the little piazza!
I found Genoa absolutely lovely. And I did not even see the main tourism sites of the city because we were working so much--so the photos are not even the grand sights!
It was great in Genoa. I am so glad I learned how to take night shots (thanks to the workshop). Our weekend on the Mediterranean was lovely!
Thanks a lot (as ever) for your kind words!

I really liked it a lot, and if we win the project . . . .
The DJ was playing lots of Euro pop--winners from the Eurovision song contest. It was mostly pretty disco-y.
More photos en route!
Thanks for the kind comment!
