I am not a patient person. I do not like to go about the "normal" way of interacting. The process takes too long. Why is it considered weird to just go up to a person and just say, "Hi! Well, I love it when people come up to me and say that. It does happen quite a bit actually because I am a fascinating person and people really want to know me and experience all the glory that is me.

Personally, I think I'm with you. I hate the whole beating around the bush....it most often results in never actually hanging out with that person. I tend to find quasi friends around school whom I think very highly of, and we make a cool connection in class or rehearsal or something, but since I'm so busy (and lost in my student/faculty/in-between role, and mostly content with my group of percussion boys, and rather socially dysfunctional with most other females) I rarely (read: never) see any of them outside of school. That was a long sentence with too many parentheses ( ... )

I'd probably think someone was "interested" in me if they did that - esp if it was out of the blue. which is stupid.

But yes, formalities are for the birds.
