I've been watching the Awakenings rave series with interest for a long time, because they always have the very best lineups, great reviews, the DJs love them, and Holland is known for doing techno events well. It's curious to see how raves and raving are still so very much alive outside of the DC Metro (or even the US as a whole) . I went to Starscape last summer and its nothing like what I remembered. First off, dub-step *EVERYWHERE* you couldn't go on a single stage and not have a set interrupted by one of the assorted flavors of that nonsense. For the events that happen here. I normally avoid going to the massives because I hate feeling like I'm getting spotted as a NARC or even watching people who are obviously NARCs making easy scoops on dumb kids.

The mainstay for hearing / dancing electronic music and not being totally inundated with kiddies is the burner [burning man] scene.

You need to "name-names" of dutch DJs that are awesome but don't travel. I am counting on you to spread the music. :-P
