Oh my, I do love all those details! I really envy people who can draw backgrounds because I'm not very good at them and the background in this pic is just... so good :O I love the glasses on the table! I love the newspaper!

And... haha, I love Sirius's expression XD

I wonder if Sirius actually remembered that night. Judging by the look on his face, no.

The kitchen is nicely done, though I think Molly looks more like Ginny. (Molly's a bit plumper.) Her hair is nicely done though, and Remus has a honker worthy of Snivellus.

Your mistake on Kingsley was simply the choice of colors. Everybody's skin is basically brown, whether light or dark. You appear to have used burnt umber. What works for me is a layering of yellow ocher, red ocher (red-brown), medium and dark browns raw and burnt umbers, and finally, for the deepest shadows, a medium to dark purple. If you try those, working light to dark, i think you'll be pleased with the results. Alorkin

Wow, that's a lot of good tips you have there.
Actually I thought Molly is a bit too plump. Maybe I'm not tolerant enough :P
What you said about Kingsley was really helpful to me. I will try to follow your advice about the right choose of colours the next time.

One last thing: What is a honker? I didn't find the word in any of my dictionarys.

As usual, Kubi, this is brilliant. Please don't forget to post at Padfoot's Army. Hopefully I'll be able to post a proper review this weekend, when I'm not so drained by work and the heat.

In the meantime, it came at a time when I muchly needed a cheering charm.

Omg, love love love! One of the few pieces of HP fanart that I can call an 'illustration.' Their expressions are PRICELESS, yet beautifully in character, and judging from the look on Lupin's face, there are probably even more naked Sirius pictures in that paper. :P I love how you make us part of the scene by seating us across the table, the detailed kitchen setting, everything! And throwing in Molly working/listening in the background really gives a sense of time (like there's actually stuff going on in this world, if you know what I mean). Awesome job! :D

Hehe, you're absolutely right :D
It's always a wonderful compliment for me, when someone actually can see all the little hints I wanted to show. But that you 'dare' to call it an illustration is probably the biggest compliment of all.
