so, there was this new job at work, that I kind of actually almost wanted, and was pretty sure I would get (such to the point when I was out with my boss and other work peeps on Thursday they were talking like I wasn't there anymore) and then I got a call yesterday telling me they picked someone else. usually, I'm scared of heights.
as I write this, I'm on the 31st floor of a hotel downtown. I'd been planning on playing tourist at home for some time, and being that it's plan a's bday I figured I'd ask my hotel hook up to get me a room at the relatively cheap hook up rate.

I have taken to bowling again, in advance of a tournament at the end of the month.

ironically, I don't do funerals well.
at least not since the incident 12 years ago, but that's a story for another day.
so, my bowling friends dad passed and last night was the viewing. I luckily found a couple of people I knew and was able to hang out with them. which was good cuz for a few minutes I was worried I was at the wrong service. (that's happened before too).
