God I wish we had a Krispy Kreme.

Tomorrow is National Donut Day. So if you have a Krispy Kreme they're giving away a free donut if you want to stop by. Dunkin' and a couple other chains are in on it too, but Dunkin' won't give you a free donut unless you buy a beverage :P.

It's maddening.

It feels like I have so many projects in progress and nothing ever gets finished.

Oh well, back to trying end one of these buggers :P

Yesterday....

Mike and I met with a photographer in regards to the wedding.
I cleaned.
I brewed three gallons of tea.
I baked cookies, muffins, and pot pie.
I cleaned again.

So why do I still feel I didn't get enough done?

I had really impressive cake fail yesterday.

In turning out my lime/white chocolate sheet cake, it just completely fell apart. We'll see leaving it to bake a little longer to counteract the high acid level will help with it today.

And thank goodness I bought more white chocolate. All I need now is some eggs and a lime.

So Friday was a remarkably, suffocatingly bad day for a variety of reasons. The work related ones I won't get into, because it's too complicated. The non work related stuff was born of my own naive stupidity, but fortunately it resolved itself in a good fashion, that is to say, my trust was not misplaced ( Read more... )
