Chicago was such a blast. The trip was totally worth getting fired.

I need to find a new job. Preferably not in food service. I've been working in food service for the past 7 years, since I was 14 years old. Job searching time.

I know you dont want food service again (I dont blame you), but La Pita has a sign out that says they're hiring if you get desperate.

Thanks, i'll keep it in mind. I'm going to try this Wasabi place(I know I said I didn't want to do any more food service, but it's a Japanese restaurant xD Hehe.) And look around the area for other opportunities. There's actually a gaming store that's starting to open up next to JJs that I might try applying to as soon as possible.

Well, so far I went to this Japanese/Korean restaurant on campus and they seemed interested in me, but they don't open for another couple of weeks. The gaming store on campus I was also interested in still hasn't opened yet either. I don't really have any extra money, but enough to survive day to day. I'm also contacting my former Japanese teacher to see if I can arrange to start tutoring during the school year as well.

So, i'm keeping pretty busy, but i'm doing alright. I'd love to go hang out with you guys on mondays, but it's a lot of gas money to get there and back and I don't really have it to spare. How are you guys? ^^

The GM fired me because I didn't show up to work last Saturday morning or Sunday night to drive (I'm the only delivery driver those shifts). Although I had informed them of the trip about a month in advance, and received no help on their side to cover my shift. Called about 7 stores and asked about 15 people and there was no one. GM said he tried everyone and I was responsible, bla bla.

Of course, he found people to cover my two shifts(saying he had to 'pull some strings'). Hah. That bastard.

But still, with the amount of time that you put in at that store and with that corporation it seems like a probation offense more than a firing offense. But maybe that's just my opinion of the matter.
