Rihk, EQ2 stuff!...

Rihk, got a couple questions. First, if things go according to plan I should hit level 20 in a few days. I'm already level 14 or 15 and heading out into Antonica. My question was, when I hit 20 I want to do the divinity quest to accept Mithaniel Marr. How do I get my frog-butt to Kelethin? Is there a boat I can take, or what ( Read more... )

It's too expensive to do a paid transfer, it will just take a couple hours to get to 14 or 15 on a paid account twinked with a kickass partner, or a guild group. I'm in some guild called Ira Deorum right now, and they are neat. little raids right now, but there are usually people online to group with, even at lower levels.

If you do just pay for the monthly subscription, reroll on AB and I will make ya some armor/weapons for level 1-11 and 12-21, and maybe 22-31 depending on class. I can make cloth and leather on my main. I also have a dude who can make sweet expert (adept3 for old schoolers) spells for ya, makes it a lot easier. :)

Also, make sure to join the crafting channel, even if you dont craft. it's full of helpful people, there's a minimum of drama (get out of the 1-9 and 10-19 chat asap!) and everyone is much nicer.

I've never really raided either, so I'm learning a lot now too, especially since all the acronyms are different, hahahaha.

But can you get through the game without raiding? That was one of my eternal frustrations with end-game EQ1. One of the reasons I found WoW so accessible (nevermind the character of the world, the artistic style, and the players that I encountered on the servers I was on) was that you could go 1-80 without ever raiding and it wasn't the end of the world. You could continue to play the game as you always had and just have new adventures in new areas. Ironically the only time in my life where I ever had the capacity to Raid was when I played EQ1 in High School.

Anyway, if I do choose to pick up the game, count me in. What alignment is your guild?

They're based in N Qeynos, and yeah, it's not infrequent to go 1-80 without even grouping, let alone raiding, if you want. i got to 75 solo before i got in the guild. Even the epic weapons can be 1-grouped, if your group isn't retarded. This guild is mostly not retarded, i haven't grouped with EVERYONE yet, but so far, I'm definitely the most inexperienced out of everyone i have. they're very welcome to newbies and sharing their experience. :)

Thaaaat sounds pretty fantastic. I may yet end up doing all of this. You running the game with the Soga models? I was pretty non-plussed by the original models, but always kind of liked the look of them. Except the gnomes, if only because they removed the glasses. I liked those glasses.
