They say it might, now that the servers are completely in Russia, but who knows. I backed up to DW but plan on using LJ as my main platform.

Was there something that happened recently to suggest the shut down of the website? I know a couple years ago there was a similar freak out but lj is still here.

Exactly. There is always this season of mass fleeing to DW for some reason or another. While I don't plan on fleeing this time either, I understand why people are panicking. With the servers back in Russia and posters being subject to Russian law, rules, and censorship, theres that edge of fear.

I personally don't write about anything that Russia should care about,so....
