That's sooooooooooo wonderful that Reo did so well with your parents. So great for them and him and you!!
Um, whatever to your MIL. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. If he knows how to crawl at 7 months I think you're golden. I really think there's a wide range of what's okay and good for babies and I know i've said it before but the phrase that resonates most with me is "do what works for you and your baby".
Thank you! I was worried about finding time to ever come back. My time management skills are really being put to the test ^^;;;;
Definitely. I plan on doing what is best for us. Her input is definitely nice, as I obviously don't have experience, but contradictions don't help anyone and my concern now is keeping Reo from beating his head everywhere :/
Reo is seriously adorable! I’m sorry about your mother-in-law. Unsolicited advice sucks anyway but it’s worse when she’s contradicting herself. I hope she works it out with herself lol
"I reminded her we had wanted to get a house, and her husband had even helped us start looking, but she had been so against it that we stopped looking."
Good for you for standing up for yourself! My MIL totally did / does this sort of thing and I put up with it for way too long. It's so hard when you want to be respectful and keep the peace, but eventually this sort of nagging and endless advice will be so damaging if nobody stands up to her. May I ask if your husband sees what is going on here? As long as you two are united everything should be fine.
He is immune to her, it feels like. He'll let her talk and then just answer something generic like "Huh, ok," but back me fully with whatever I want to do. We do and will need, her help with the baby at times, so I don't want tension. But if it can't be avoided...

I agree - he's your son, and you should raise him how you see fit.
