I'm so happy for you that your family got to visit!! that sounds so lovely <3
I always chuckle to myself knowing that you're not afraid to stand up for yourself against your MIL, when many would struggle to do so. I know you can hold your own. Don't listen to her weird expectations - they make no sense.
I've read over and over again that it takes AT LEAST 6 months to a year for your body to "return" to pre-baby weight. You grew a whole HUMAN!!
It took some time to be able to do it, but I guess now that I have a little one to keep an eye on, I just don't have time for nonsense. I have no issues listening to her expectations and taking them in to consideration, but she needs to not contradict herself constantly.
Yes, I've heard that too. I wanted to believe it wouldn't take me so long because I didn't gain so much, but it's like literally frozen in place. I'm quite concerned about the C-section pouch. I've read it doesn't always go away!
my niece is your child's age, and she sort of skipped the crawling phase (her parents think they may not have given her enough tummy time), but she is already walking small steps.
that is a lovely family photo! everyone looks happy! :-)
He started tummy time late (Because MIL said not to force him if he hates it, so if lack of tummy time is related, that's on her as well!) But once he started it, we tried to give him as much as possible.
He'll crawl around and he's quick at it. He simply prefers to be upright. He hasn't started trying to walk though yet. I've read it isn't healthy for them to walk too soon, so I can get my MIL's concerns. But I need assistance and advice. Not contradictions :/
