A few minutes before 5 am I was woken by one of my dogs' whimpers.  I thought he just wanted to go downstairs to investigate that beeping coming from the portable speaker in the kitchen.  But as he trotted toward the doors, I knew he wanted to go outside to either piss, poop, or vomit so I go upstairs to put on some clothes.  I came back downstairs ( Read more... )

I was concerned about Historic Hurricane Hilary, but it wasn't bad at all.   It was nice, actually.    It reminded me of Mexican summer rains.   It was hot and humid.  We opened all our windows to fully appreciate the petrichor.

Twenty-five days until the MCAT.  I'm taking it Pasadena, which is not too far, but I booked a hotel room so that I won't be a nervous wreck stuck in traffic the morning of.  Although, now I don't know how I can make the burrito I wanted to eat during the lunch break.  I have been studying as much as I can, but yet I feel I am not studying enough ( Read more... )
