I'm sorry to hear you are having some problems. I hope things work out for you both. The museum sounds like a great idea, clear your head and get some breathing room. I hope you two will be able to talk it out. It's always hard with relationships. Wanting to be close but still having some of your own space.

For a clingy person you don't want to drag out a problem like this for too long. The will keep feeling like they are in a desperate situation and do what they can to keep you. While on the other hand you just need some space and having to deal with all the needs and wants of a clingy person can be daunting. Just talk it out calmly and firmly with them. You don't have to be hard, just firm. Clingy people (which I can tend to be at times) I believe have hard times understanding a need for space with one they love even if they may say they do understand.

glad I can at least be there for you when I can. it sucks that it all boiled down to this, but....you're both mature adults and hopefully everything will work out one way or the other.
*hugs* just try and live and be happy somehow. I won't always be around to hang out due to work and shit, but there is always livejournal, phone calls and random chance meetings at Borders!
