I just confirmed something really sad. I can find peppers (Serano, Habanero, Anehiem, Jalopenios (sp)) easier up here at places like Carrs and FredMeyers than I can at similar shops in New England. It's the middle of winter, and I can find this stuff easier in Alaska than I can 8k miles to the South East, in a major sea-based area. How sad ( Read more... )

Not sure. It was weird. Stepped into my old room last night, and despite what they told me when I left last time, EVERYTHING was as it was when I left a year and a half ago. So, I'm finally back in AK. Currently at my brother's in Anchorage, mostly waiting for a ride out to the valley. Hands are a bit cold :P I will say that I'm not used to the lack of light. So my Unit's Christmas party was this last Saturday (if anyone tried to call me during that time, which I doubt, that's why I wasn't available). So, good food, decent music, expensive booze.
