Got the new computer in about a half hour ago, so currently setting up now. All I can say is that it is a BEAST (seriously, it dwarfs the case of Kurayami). Just getting the normal updates and such now, and then going to install the old hardrives and see if I can install the old RAM. Augh Augh Augh! More Power!

So, turns out I had a lot more money in my savings than I thought. Guess that deposit of $50 a paycheck adds up. So, since my savings account was supposed to be for purchases like this, I splurged a little more than I was planning. Not quite sure what happened, but over the course of a day, my desktop computer Kurayami has died. Sometime after I went to bed, it apparently lost my 3D-Accelerator programs (still not sure which one). After I tried to update those, and also get some updates from the microsoft website, my computer refused to start in anything other than safe mode ( Read more... )

I'm looking for a chart that showed the "Tiers" of geekdom. I know someone posted it in their LJ a few years ago, just wondering if they still have it on their computer, or the general date. One of Sara's recent post just sparked that memory is all.

So, been back to work for almost a week now. And oh how much fun I'm having. Ehh, same ol' stuff I guess. Inspection comming up, so everyone's workload went up preparing for it.
