I got into Uconn!!! I just got the letter today. Now I need to wait for Umass's answer and then make my decision.

As a random sidenote, I just saw a commercial for Ritz crackers saying they were the "official cracker of Nascar." This made me giggle.

They just had a commercial on tv for some cell phone.  It was with Pepe Le Pew and the cat that he always was trying to hook up with.  They were texting love messages back and forth, and the cat was all lovey dovey over it.  Now, I watched a lot of Looney Toons back in the day; I don't remember the cat ever being all goo-goo eyed for Pepe Le Pew.  ( Read more... )

So I got into work today at 12:45 in the student center living room.  One of the clocks was missing.  Someone just stole the fucking clock off the wall.  In its place was a picture of a clock someone drew with "WHAT TIME IS IT?!" written in the middle.  Under that sign was another one someone else wrote that said "TIME TO PUT THE FRIGGIN CLOCK BACK ( Read more... )

I don't know that I've read about a product that was so utterly wasteful, but yet so intriguing.  Quilted Northern is coming out with a 3-ply toilet paper.  Three layers.  I always thought two did the job just fine, but apparently Quilted Northern doesn't.  They are going to market it for women 45 and older who want a "sanctuary" in their bathroom ( Read more... )
