Matriculating at the BOKU
Before I can get the funding for my PhD, I have to be inscribed at the BOKU, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna or the Universität für Bodenkultur Wien.
Having already been accepted by my supervisor, and having done a masters degree in the UK, you'd think that registering at the BOKU would be easy.

Applying to the FNR - AFR
I just got an e-mail telling me that my PhD will be funded by the FNR, the Fond National de la Recherche of Luxembourg!
Pretty excited about this! It means I will have 3 years of guaranteed funding (I only had 1.5 years before), and it means my boss doesn't have to pay me, so he's excited about the extra money.

Lent
I am still struggling with those 3 extra curry kilos I put on in India so I am determined they are going to go! I actually lost 1 or 2 in October but I must have put them back on before Christmas. My new years resolution was to have 2 days of every week where I eat no refined sugar. None at all. So effectively no processed foods. I haven't always ( Read more... ) -
Week of Boredom
I have so much homework this week and I'm really unmotivated!
Back in Luxembourg trying not to spend all my time eating cake and reading New Moon!

Got out the wrong side of bed!
These builders have been at my flat for the past week. On Friday I discovered they didn't have the correct keys for this flat, so I had to give them my keys and they left them hidden at the front of the house.
